Waterbank, our latest luxury development and most ambitious project to date is nearing completion. The five-home development unifies luxury living with eco-friendly innovations in the picturesque village of Prestbury. These ambitious family homes have been designed and built with sustainability at their core without diluting the luxurious features that typify Altin Homes builds.
The story so far
Construction began on the three-acre Prestbury site in early 2021. Each home is designed with sharp, eye-catching pitched roofs and large and lavish windows to brighten the open-plan layouts inside.
Crucial to the development’s environmental focus, Waterbank sits between tree protection areas, allowing synergy between nature and the new builds. It means the final homes will blend seamlessly into the idyllic surroundings and, arguably more importantly, with minimal environmental impact. We see the scheme as a contemporary extension of the rustic landscape.
Picture perfect Prestbury
The development is nuzzled into the banks of the River Bollin. Neighbouring Macclesfield, Wilmslow and Alderley Edge, this gorgeous setting offers tranquil village living. Yet, with easy accessibility to Manchester City Centre, the buzz of the city is never too far away. It makes it the perfect location for idyllic country life, whilst the allure of the city remains within reach.
Sustainable luxury
With an EPC A rating, each Waterbank home is built for optimised energy efficiency. Our goal is to reduce both running costs and carbon emissions for homeowners.
All the large, light-inviting windows at Waterbank offer an impressive air-tightness of 5 m3/m2.h. This, alongside a cutting-edge heat-recovery system, helps shut out the cold weather. It means the homes will warm up quicker and stay warmer for longer.
Each home also boasts solar panels and a hybrid heating systems – traditional gas boilers work in tandem with a Vaillant air-source heat pump for optimum operation. This combination comes with a sophisticated control system that automatically switches between the heat pump and gas boiler to select the most economical heat appliance. These forward-thinking systems help keep your home warm in even the coldest of weather, whilst their improved energy efficiency helps homeowners save up to 50% on their energy bills.
We’re proud of the lavish yet eco-friendly homes at Waterbank. Whilst luxury and quality of design and finish define how these homes look and feel, it was vital that we built homes that were sensitive to the planet too.
