Molly Watson, customer relations manager, shares her typical day, what makes her proud about working at Altin Homes and her favourite development yet…

Can you explain what your job entails?

My main priority is being the homeowners first point of contact. I have the pleasure of showing our clients around their new property and help them settle into their home for the 2 years they’re under warranty. I often end up being really good friends with our customers years after. I also get to know all of our suppliers and trades we work with and I get to build great relationships with them as we work together on regular projects.

What’s your favourite part of your job?

I love getting to meet a variety of families! I get to know each client individually and we learn a lot about each other.

What’s the most challenging part of your job?

It can often be quite challenging handing over multiple properties in a short timeframe. We want to be able to help everyone, giving them that personal Altin Homes touch when they’re moving into their new home. I’ve often found that staying on top of things and keeping organised is really helpful during those periods.

What does a typical day in customer relations look like?

I begin by following up with any queries from customers and colleagues. I’m currently responding to potential buyers for our new Bank Farm Grove project, which has been really fun. I love sharing their excitement and giving them details of the project.

What does Altin Homes do to go that extra mile for the client?

Something I’m really proud of that Altin Homes does is tailoring every property to the client’s needs. Not one home is the same, each client brings their own story. We like to incorporate that into the property as best we can.

What advice would you give to someone who’s looking to buy a luxury property but isn’t sure where to start?

Make the first step as soon as you can! Pop us an email, give us a call or come in to have a chat. I guarantee once you dive deeper into the process of having your own luxury property you’ll be besotted.

How are you involved in each project? What do you do, what are your main responsibilities?

I’m lucky, I get to see the project’s development from start to finish. I’m usually the project manager’s third hand, helping with all the important building aspects and organisation. I tend to help from the office – making sure they remember to call suppliers or follow up with deliveries. I also get to see the project at all different stages. It still amazes me how I’m able to see mud and bricks turn into a stunning property. This also allows me to understand the process in more depth. I get to talk to each tradesperson and learn, which really helps with clients’ questions when we handover the home.

What about Altin Homes makes you proud to work for them?

The determination and hard work that our team has. Everyone wants to excel and make every project someone’s dream home, which is really inspiring. Nothing is ever too difficult. Through different hurdles, our team just never gives up. I often get the pleasure of receiving immense gratitude from clients. Anywhere from the first week to two-plus years after handing over the house, I get to hear how happy they still are. Something as simple as that can fill you with pride.

What has been your favourite development to work on so far?

Fairfield. This was the first project that I got to see from start to finish. We got to work with some really amazing trades and suppliers which made the site a fun, energetic place to work. The house is a complete dream, it has so much character inside and out. I love the old-style brick on the exterior. Yet, as soon as you walk inside it’s so modern and oozes style – especially the pool extension!
