We are delighted to announce that we have been awarded two prestigious national awards at the What House? Awards 2017; widely considered to be the ‘Oscars’ of the housebuilding sector.

Altin Homes was presented with the awards for Best House of the Year and Best Development; both in relation to The Place, our Northenden Road development in Sale.

In the Best House category, the judges were looking for ‘a middle-market house with that something extra – a high quality family home of exceptional standard. A house that combines comfortable family living at a realistic price, but with the edge to lift if above its competitors.’

For Best Development the criteria stated: ‘The best development in Britain. A stylish mix of original designs, top quality site layout and landscaping, a variety of external elevations and plenty of design flair inside and out.’

We last won a What House? award in 2014 for a new build home in Timperley. This year our Design Director, Yousef Mousavi and Technical Manager, Ali Mostoufi were on hand to collect the awards at a glittering ceremony hosted by comedian Jack Whitehall and ex-England rugby international, Lawrence Dallaglio, OBE.

A total of sixty seven awards were made in twenty categories at the ceremony at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel (17th November 2017).

Commenting on our success, Yousef said, “We are absolutely delighted to have won awards in two categories at the What House? awards.

“The Place is, quite rightly, up there with the best of the best. In making these awards to us the judges recognise that The Place and properties we are building there are something special.”

The Place consists of 24 contemporary four and five bedroom homes which offer a 21st Century interpretation of the traditional Victorian homes seen in the local area. Designed by leading architects, Calderpeel, the homes boast stunning elevations with large clerestory feature windows and steep pitched roofs.
